Sweet Pea
So we gave peas to Lizette last night. She didn't seem to like them at all, but then again she did the same thing with the rice and oatmeal and now she loves them. I made her eat a couple of bites of peas then gave her some oatmeal. Then I would make her eat a couple of more bites of peas. She would make the funniest face when we gave her peas after the oatmeal.. Right now I am only feeding her one serving of solids a day, when do you start feeding a second. Lizette seems content with just the one feeding, and she definitely doesn't look like she is starving. My pediatrician told me not to stress out to much about it and that I will know when to start feeding her more solids. She told me that they are doing a lot more studies that show that a child can live off of just breast milk for a year and be completely healthy. She just wants me to make sure that she isn't losing lots of weight, and to keep up her calorie intake. I think I just need not to worry about it.

I don't have any answers. I was so confused about when to feed solids and when to nurse. Your doctor is right, according to La Leche League kids can survive on breast milk the first year, so don't stress. The first year is just to try new foods, not thrive off them anyway. So just let he sample lots of things and relax because she's a really "healthy" looking baby who obviously does just fine on your milk.
That's my opinion...
I love this picture! Make sure it is in a photoalbum for when she asks about her baby pictures.
I wouldn't worry about it either. I would just keep trying new foods 3 days at a time just to make sure she is not allergic and just so she learns how to eat and eventually chew. I love the picture by the way. It reminds me the face I made the first time I saw you. Zing!!!!
What? You're baby is looking too thin, you better chunk her up!
