The Big 02 & SHOTS

Lizette got her shots on Tuesday. It was really sad to see them give her the shots. They are not gentle. It looks like they jab them in her legs really hard. She went to sleep five minutes later and was really upset after her two hour nap. I don't blame her for being upset there are two HUGE bruises on her chubby little legs. Lizette is now 12 pounds 7 ounces and a little shy of 24 inches. She definitely doesn't look like an infant anymore. My little baby is already growing up! Here are a lot of pictures of our baby. THE BIG 02 - 2 Months that is.
This last Sunday was Lizette's 2 Month Birthday. Boy, time does really fly by quickly. Lizette and parents are now SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT. For the past week and a half Lizette has been sleeping through the night. This is making Tyler and I very happy. She is also cooing a lot more.
Notice Tyler and Lizette are kind of wearing matching shirts - they have the same thing printed on them. Also the lovely blanket I made for Tyler for when he holds Lizette. It's girly with a hint of Manliness. There is also a picture of Lizette with Auntie Doris - who has just lost 100 pounds! We are so proud of her! Keep up the good work.


























Lizette got some really cute Mary Jane socks from her Grandpa and Grandma. She also makes this really cute "Whatchoo talkin' about Willis?" face.

"MASTER T"

So it is official Tyler got his Master's Degree Diploma in the mail. I can't believe that he now has his Master's Degree. It just seems like yesterday we moved from Provo to Camarillo. These past two years have gone by so quickly, and now Tyler is all grown up with a "REAL" job and we have an adorable baby. Here are some pictures of Tyler and his diploma - He is now asking everyone to call him Master T because he has is master's degree. He was thinking about getting his PHD but Dr. T doesn't sound as cool as Master T. WHAT A DORK! BUT I do love him and I am proud of his accomplishment.

WEIRD CONVERSATION

Tyler had a very weird conversation with someone. We are going to say that this person is "JANE" to protect their identity. This is how it went:

Jane: Did you know that so-and-so is pregnant.

Tyler: No, that is great. Does she know what she is having?

Jane: Nope, she is fresh out of the bed.

Tyler: Thanks. (AND THEN SILENCE BECAUSE THAT WAS AWKWARD)

DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION

Every time I see this clip from Malcolm in the Middle. I think of Cristin Lassen. I remember when she was really into Dance, Dance Revolution aka DDR. I even think she wanted to put a dance off together when we lived in Wymount. I would always joke with her that I wanted DDR at my baby shower, needless to say that never happened. So here is a tribute to Cristin and her old obsession with DDR.

So it has been a while since I have post any new pictures of Lizette. We have a couple of busy weeks. I can't recall what I have done, but I know they were busy. Here are some pictures of Lizette & her new friends.

It was fun to see the two little girls together - even though Lizette doesn't look so little next to Milana. (These pictures were taken when Lizette was 5 weeks old)

CINCO DE MAYO MADNESS

Tyler and I woke up and noticed that Cinco Claus came to our house and left Lizette a Cinco De Mayo present. Cinco Claus left her a six pack of IBC Root beer. She woke up before us and drank all the root beer while playing HALO 2. Needless to say that she is grounded for a year, since she didn't wake up Daddy to play with her.

Lizette's 4 week birthday

Lizette has had a very busy week. On Sunday was Lizette's first "real" bath. She enjoyed it more than the sponge baths that we were giving her. Today is also her 4 week birthday. She is looking so big to me. It is crazy how fast she has grown. We just love her so much.

As for Tyler and I. Tyler is doing really well at his job. This is his third week and he is in charge of a project already. He is really happy that he knows what he is doing. As for me, I am still recovering. I went to the doctor yesterday because I am still in pain. The doctor told me that I have a yeast infection! I have never had one before, so it is only fitting that I get my first one now! The doctor also reminded me that Tyler and I can not "try to make Lizette a big sister". I laughed in her face. Tyler asked to see a signed doctor's note. Then I laughed in his face. I just couldn't believe that the doctor needed to remind me of that - LIKE I DON'T ALREADY KNOW!

Lizette is now three weeks old. Boy, does time fly by. I am still recovering from the whole birthing thing. The doctor told me not to lift Lizette in her car seat or anything heavy for six weeks, because I tore really bad. So I am feeling like Shia LaBeouf in Disturbia (you know under house arrest). I am also still in tons of pain. (You know you tore bad when the nurses cringe when they hear how bad you riped) I still have to take darvocet because I want to cry due to the pain. I can't imagine my body ever feeling the same again! I also can't believe people have more than one BABY! Everyone tells me that you will forget how much it hurts, but I don't think I will. BUT, I do think that Lizette is worth the pain. She is so cute. I never thought I could love anyone this much. She is a good baby. Here are a couple of pictures of our little angel.

WHAT A WEEK

We had a very exciting past week. Last Friday (March 23) Tyler finished his Exiting Exam and now has his Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering! We were both very excited that he is done with school. He is going to be starting his NEW job at AML in Camarillo on April 9^th. I don't know what he will be doing. BUT, He will be a Design Engineer.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, After being a week overdue. Lizette Jadalyn Barton was finally born on March 27, 2007 at 1:09 pm. She was 7 pounds 14 ounces, 21 1/2 inches long, 14 inch head, and as cute as can be.

On my appointment on Monday March 26 at 1 pm, my doctor told me to go to the hospital at 8:00 pm to be induced. They were going to put Cytotek on my cervix to start the induction, but I was already contracting. So at midnight they started me on Pitocin. At 8:00 am, the nurse thought I was only dilated to a 4 and I was in a somepain. The doctor came in a couple of seconds later and said that I was actually dilated to a 7 (Very Exciting).

During my contractions Lizette's heart rate would drop so the doctor decided to do internal monitoring on the baby, They told me that I need to get an epidural, because it would make everything easier. At 11:45 am I was dilated to a 10 and I felt like pushing so the doctor turned off my epidural so I would "Feel when to push". What I felt was pain!! About a little over an hour and a half later the doctor said that Lizette needed to come out even though her head was having trouble fitting past my pelvic bone. So they decided to vacuum her out. AND BOY DID THAT HURT! Lizette swallowed some amniotic fluid and had to be taken away shortly after. They had to monitor Lizette for 36 hours, But now all is well. Lizette and I are doing great. We are excited to be home and adjusting to each other. We feel so blessed to have Lizette join our family!

PRESSURE TO START A BLOG

Hello All,

So I have been pressured to start a blog. So here I am giving into peer pressure. As many of you know that Tyler and I are expecting our first baby any day now, Tyler is finishing up his masters next week, and he has two finals next week. We decided that we didn't have enough going on in our lives, So we bought a car!! We were planning on buying a (new to us) car in a year or two. We were looking to get something a bit bigger, like a Honda CRV, Toyota RAV4, or a Ford Escape. We have been researching them and they were a bit expensive (about 10,000 to 12,000) with over 100,000 miles. I was browsing Craigslist on Saturday Morning in the cars section. I mentioned to Tyler that I saw a 2002 Ford Escape for $6,500.00 with 68,000 miles on it. We decided to go take a gander at the car with no intentions of really buying it. When we saw it we knew it was a good deal. So we wrote a check and bought it. We are very excited, it will make it a lot easier with a baby and the gear that comes with it! NOW WE ARE SOMEWHAT READY FOR THE BABY!
