What a week....
This has been a very stressful week for Lizette (and me). She is getting her top two teeth and has had a really bad cold/fever. Then on Thursday she took a really bad fall and hurt her head. I rushed her to her pediatrician's office, where Tyler met us. The doctor checked her out then sent us to a place 20 minutes away to get some x-rays of her skull to make sure that there was no fracture. After waiting in the waiting room for over an hour (And people looking at her then at us and pointing to her head, I wanted to scream, WHY DO YOU THINK WE ARE HERE?) . We finally got called back to get the x-rays done. Tyler held Lizette down while she was getting her x-rays. I was out in the hall. SHE WAS SO MAD. She was screaming bloody murder. We waited around for the doctor there to read them, fortunately she did not have a fracture. The x-ray doctor and her pediatrician wanted us to wake Lizette up every two hours to make sure that she could open her eyes. On Friday she wanted us to observe her all day to make sure that she was acting normal, ie. crawling, walking, talking, eating. If not she needed a MRI as soon as possible, because x-rays can only detect broken bones and not blood leaks into the brain...(SCARY) Luckily, Lizette was back to herself on Friday. We were both really tired from not getting a good night rest.
I have been putting some homeopathic pain relief on her bump (I am switching between Arnica and Trumeel). The next day the bump was almost all the way gone, and the bruising has gone down tremendously. It isn't as noticeable as it was on Thursday.. I am so happy that all is alright and that Lizette is back to acting like the Diva she is...j/k.

POOR LIZETTE! That is some bruise. How did she fall? I'm so happy she's okay. Babies are so tough.
How SCARY!!! I am SUPER nervous for Madi's first "spill". I'm also wondering how she fell.....come on Candace....all us mom's want DETAILS!!! :)That bruise just looks painful! I bet that was so tough having to get up EVERY 2 hours and wake her up. Did her fall make YOU cry too?? I know I will totally loose it the first time Madi gets really hurt. Glad to hear that she is feeling better- and adorable as always!!
Oh am so sorry to hear about this scary event. I think I would panic, it sounds like you handled the situation beautifully. You are an awesome mom, and way to go on making an indestructible baby!
I'm glad she's okay. I was thinking about you guys yesterday and figured since I hadn't hear anything that she must be alright.
Thanks for the Playboy (naked) photo shoot. ha ha
Poor baby! I'm always so embarrassed when people stare at me and my kids when something is wrong. I love the last picture of her sitting on her car with her very adorable gut. She is so beautiful.
I was so relieved for all of you that she is okay. Babies heads are amazing, aren't they? What a blessing her little skull is as hard as it is.
It was fun to sit behind you in R.S. Sunday, Candace and watch her. Such a sweet baby!
Love, Aunt Debi
Lizette is so smart that if she was going to get hurt she would have just dumbed down to your level. Haha? I don't know if you can joke about it yet. MIght be too fresh.
I am sorry that Lizette and also you and Tyler had to go through this.
That is so terrible. Poor thing (you and Lizette). I am always so surprised at how quickley little ones recover. Dean had a tooth extraction two days ago. They had to put him to sleep. I was the one who was upset. I wanted to cry each time I looked at him. He probably thought I was nuts.
Scary! I think she is so so so super cute. Love the bath pic where she's a total diva.
